Restaurant inspector finds food poorly stored

A health inspector who visited the China Legend restaurant near the University of Waterloo in Ontario in October was cited as finding a box of raw meat defrosting on the kitchen floor, bagged raw fish stored above boxes of broccoli, and bags of onions and potatoes stored on the kitchen floor.
It was the third time in 2006 that a health inspector noted the same infractions there.
Yiru Xing, an owner of the China Legend, was cited as saying he does not expect any more health violations, an since his restaurant was fined $360, the owner has attended a food safety course and passed the knowledge to his staff, adding, "Hopefully, we can turn this into a positive way to do business.
