ONTARIO: Caterer investigated in salmonella cases

A Mississauga catering company is being investigated after six children contracted salmonella poisoning at various daycare centres in the Hamilton area in recent weeks.
Boaden Catering and Banquet Centre, located on The Queensway E. near Cawthra Rd., provided meals for three YMCA centres during the time the outbreak occurred, from July 30 to Aug. 3., Hamilton Public Health Services said.
Robert Hart, environmental health manager for Hamilton Public Health Services, said the investigation is ongoing and must be completed before conclusions are drawn.
