At this time TrainCan does not have a formal in house train the trainer program.
The first requirement to become a registered trainer remains a 90% or greater mark on
our ADVANCED.fst® manager level training exam. Once this is completed successfully
an application can be made for trainer status using the application form found at
www.traincan.com .
With the application TrainCan requires supplementary information including completed
courses, experience and professional documentation to support qualification as a
registered TrainCan trainer.
If this supporting information is deemed not sufficient by TrainCan Inc. then an additional
trainer training program is required.
TrainCan currently recognizes train the trainer programs from the following sources with
approved documentation:
Sysco Canada - train the trainer program
Surety Food Safety - train the trainer program
ServSafe online - train the trainer program
NFSTP - train the trainer program
Geometrix Global - train the trainer program
Langevin Learning Services - Instructional Techniques for New Instructors: Becoming A Dynamic Trainer
MAPAC (Quebec Agricultural Ministry) - Trainer Designation
We also recognize the following professional designations as not requiring a train the
trainer program.
