ALLERGY ALERT - UNDECLARED EGG IN CHOCOLATINES CONGELEES SOLD BY BOULANGERIE AU PAIN DORÉ

OTTAWA, April 16, 2010 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning
people with allergies to egg not to consume Chocolatines sold by Boulangerie Au Pain
Doré as described below. The affected product may contain egg which is not declared
on the label.

The affected product, Chocolatines Congelees from Boulangerie Au Pain Doré was sold
in a package containing 12 frozen chocolatines with UPC 2 00271 21480 3. All
packages that do not indicate possible presence of egg on the label are affected by
this alert. 

This product has been distributed only in Quebec.

There was one reaction reported associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in
persons with allergies to egg.

The manufacturer, Bridor Inc., Boucherville, Quebec is voluntarily recalling the
affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of
the recall.

OTTAWA, le 16 avril 2010 - L'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA)
avise les personnes allergiques aux oeufs de ne pas consommer les chocolatines
vendues par la Boulangerie Au Pain Doré décrites ci-dessous. En effet, le produit
visé pourrait contenir des oeufs alors que l'étiquette n'en fait pas mention.

Le produit visé, les Chocolatines Congelées de la Boulangerie Au Pain Doré, a été
vendu en emballages de 12 chocolatines congelées portant le CUP 2 00271 21480 3.
Tous les emballages qui n'indiquent pas la présence possible d'oeufs sur l'étiquette
sont visés par cette mise en garde.

Ce produit a été distribué au Québec seulement.

Un cas de réaction allergique associé à la consommation de ce produit a été signalé.

La consommation de ce produit peut déclencher une réaction grave, voire mortelle,
chez les personnes allergiques aux oeufs.

Le fabricant, Bridor Inc., situé à Boucherville (Québec), retire volontairement du
marché le produit visé. L'ACIA surveille l'efficacité du rappel.
