ALLERGY ALERT - UNDECLARED EGGS IN CHORIPDONG FROZEN DUMPLING

OTTAWA, December 17, 2010 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Seoul
Trading Corporation are warning people with allergies to egg proteins not to consume
the Choripdong brand frozen dumpling described below. The affected product contains
egg which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, Choripdong brand frozen dumpling was sold in 810 g packages
bearing UPC 0 761898 652022. All codes of this product are included in this alert.

This product, imported from Korea, is known to have been distributed in Manitoba,
Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and may have been distributed nationally.


There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of
this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in
persons with allergies to egg proteins.

The importer, Seoul Trading Corporation, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, is
voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is
monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.

ci-dessous. En effet, ce produit contient des oeufs alors que l'étiquette n'en fait
pas mention.

Le produit visé, les dumplings « Congelés Boulette » de marque Choripdong, a été
vendu en emballages de 810 g portant le CUP 0 761898 652022. Tous les codes de
produit sont visés par cette mise en garde.

Ce produit, importé de la Coree, a été distribué au Manitoba, en Saskatchewan, en
Alberta et en Colombie-Britannique. Il pourrait aussi avoir été distribué à
l'échelle nationale. 

Un cas de réaction allergique associé à la consommation de ce produit a été signalé.

La consommation de ce produit peut déclencher une réaction grave, voire mortelle,
chez les personnes allergiques aux protéines d'oeufs.

L'importateur, Seoul Trading Corp., situé à Coquitlam (Colombie-Britannique), retire
volontairement du marché le produit visé. L'ACIA surveille l'efficacité du rappel.
